A unique handmade artwork ceramic figurine, "The medieval judge" belongs to the series of small, original sculptures with fully-formed facial expressions and decorated bodies. For each of my figurines there is a background story of sorts.
This is my medieval judge.
Even though he might look like a nice elderly English uncle, I see him as a serious figure too: one who's always caught in an internal struggle between the law and justice. He's got milder with age though, just as he never found any pleasure in punishing people. He symbolizes wisdom and goodness. There is something endearing about him too.
